I have a number of different teaching packages on offer
Coil removal training – a 3 hour lecture with student booklets, designed to cover theory and practical skills to safely remove coils in primary care and outpatients. This teaching works best as small groups – up to 20.
HRT for primary care – a 3 hour lecture with student booklets, designed to cover theory of the menopause along with providing a good HRT check. This training works best as small groups – up to 20.
Ring pessary training for primary care – a theory course and then practical sessions using model pelvis. This can be delivered as small groups (up to 5) or one to one.
Endometrial biopsy training for primary care – a theory course based on guidelines published by the Primary Care Womens Health forum. This can be delivered as a small group (up to 20), and would need to be followed by one-to-one sessions
Details of other training I deliver
Diploma Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive healthcare – I can provide all aspects of the diploma (DFSH) for doctors and nurses. This will include annual Course of 5 for up to 12 people. Next course will be Friday December 15th. One to one practical assessments.
Letter of competence in fitting subdermal implants. This will be one to one training, providing all the practical aspects of fitting implants for contraception. including model arm training with placebos and practical training in clinics
Letter of competence in fitting intrauterine contraceptive devises. This will be one to one training, providing all the practical aspects of fitting intrauterine contraception including model pelvis training with placebos and practical clinical sessions.
Other regular training sessions
FREE – LARC fitters group. We meet every 6 months in County Durham and use this group as a networking opportunity and keeping up to date with changes in contraception and LARC. This group is free to attend and usually supported by womens health pharma companies. If you would like to attend please fill in the form and we will add you to our database. Invites for the next clinical session will be sent out a month prior to the session.
